BEFORE:
Our dining room was the last room to see any love in our home. We knew we’d eventually knock down the wall dividing it from the laundry room (happening in 2019) so I didn’t show the space much attention. I didn’t even have a proper set of four chairs, so I used this random bench in place! Once I found out I was hosting my family for Thanksgiving this year, because my cousins wedding is the same weekend in NY so they’re all flying up for it, I felt like I needed a better setup. I was so excited to show the space some love, add wallpaper to the accent wall, and finally find a table and chairs that fits my style a bit more.
I’ve been wanting wood cafe chairs like these for a while, and was so happy to finally stumble upon this set from West Elm. I was also so excited about this table, because it expands to add a few more seats, which is perfect for Thanksgiving, or when we have dinner parties and Matt makes his infamous homemade pizza! I was iffy on adding a rug under the dining room table with a messy toddler, and eventually ended up moving it elsewhere in our home. I love how it looks with the rug though!
