I wasn’t able to decorate for Fall last year and it was a huge bummer, because right around this time last year we were prepping to move into our current home. I was more focused on packing, prepping this house by painting and continuing to run this blog, so fall decor was about the last thing on my list! The year before, I had some fun decorating, but we were in an apartment and I was about to give birth to Hudson, so I wanted to keep things simple. This was the first year that I decided to go all out, and begin to build my collection of Fall decor, so by the time I’m 80 I can be a Fall freak with bins and bins of decorations!
I know it’s probably a bit early still, but with Halloween hitting on October 31, I usually have Christmas decor up pretty soon after, and wanted to soak in my home looking this way for as long as possible. I just love decorating, and have always been so passionate about sprucing up for the holidays. Even in college I would get orange lights and decorate for Halloween in my dorm! I will for sure be THAT MOM. Two of the spots I shopped for most of these decorations don’t have a good web presence (Michaels & Homegoods) but I tried to find alternate options to link to, so you can shop most of my decorations and furniture. The garland is available through Amazon if you want to just add some pops of orange with Fall garland. It’s a lovely budget friendly way to make your home feel a bit more dreamy at this time of the year. I also love adding in fake flowers and stuffed cotton pumpkins because they’re so child friendly, although Hudson keeps smelling my fake flowers as if they are real. HAHA. He doesn’t get it yet!
I hope you love this kind of post, I’d been missing my home posts, and plan to have a ton more around this time of the year!
