A few weeks back we took a lovely trip upstate to Gardiner, which is close to New Paltz and Minnewaska State Park and stayed in this gorgeous home that I wanted to share with all of you! When traveling with two kids, we find it is much easier to stay in an AirBNB and bring our own food / cook our own meals. This home even had a crib set up already, along with toys for the kids! We made fires at night, and cozied up on the couch.
It was spacious enough for two families even, and it had a large backyard that seems like it would be far better in warmer weather! I’d say the two downsides to this home were that the heating wasn’t great (BUT we stayed on an extraordinarily cold weekend with lots of snow) and the beds were only medium comfortable, but if you want a gorgeous restored old home to rent upstate, I would still recommend this one!
