A Review Of Our New Article Sven Sectional Sofa

We’ve been in the market for a new sofa for a while for a few reasons – first, after we renovated the shape of our living room changed, and we suddenly had room for a sectional. Our previous sofa was smaller, and didn’t fit our space well. We also found our last sofa to be extremely uncomfortable and hard, but because we liked it aesthetically, it took us a while to come around to the idea of changing it out. The AHA moment for us was when we were trying to have movie nights with the kids between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and we found ourselves sitting on the floor to get comfortable. We knew it was time.

The thing with buying a sofa is it’s a big investment, and most of the time you can’t test out said sofa, since you are purchasing blindly online. I did a lot of research before deciding on the Sven Charme Tan Left Sectional Sofa. I polled my following, I spoke to close family and friends, and I ultimately had faith that all of you wouldn’t steer me in the wrong direction. For that reason, I wanted to fully review this sofa in case you have also seen it floating around instagram, and are wondering if you should take the leap and purchase it as well.

We had two things in mind when picking a sofa. The first one was COMFORT. We were not going to invest in a new couch just to find it just as uncomfortable as our previous one. Our biggest concern was having a higher back that we could sink into a bit more and a deeper seat. We also wanted a leather sofa, as they wear better with kids than fabric. Our last concern was the AESTHETIC – We liked the look of our brown leather sofa in our space, and wanted something comparable looking, although if it was super comfortable we were willing to let go of the aesthetic piece a bit.

Lucky for us, when we saw the Sven Sofa, we realized we could have both! The sofa only took a few weeks to ship (in-stock items deliver fast), and shipped directly to our door which was so convenient. Because of COVID it was not put together as an extra safety precaution, so Matt put it together for us. It only took him about 15 minutes, and the sectional easily clicked in to the other part of the sofa. The legs just screwed on. It was not a huge ordeal, and we quickly had it all set up! It is SO comfortable, and I find myself working in the sectional part of the couch now, all cuddled up in blankets. We all argue over who gets that seat, haha! The quality of the leather is so nice, and it is sturdy, which is great with my kids jumping all over it. It has full-aniline leather upholstery, overstuffed cushions and a tufted leather bench seat, and the leather is supposed to develop a beautiful patina over time. It is also not HUGE, and fits really well in our relatively small living room. It could definitely work in an apartment. The Sven collection has tons of other pieces, and the sofa also comes in MANY other colors. I drool over this beautiful green velvet colored sofa, and dream of having it somewhere, someday! Article ships almost anywhere in the USA and Canada for a flat-rate of $49, with free shipping on orders above $999. The delivery is also contactless to ensure everyone stays safe.

I give this couch all of the thumbs up, and I tell Matt everyday that I am so so happy with my choice.

Thanks to Article for partnering on this post – as always, all opinions are my own.
