Giving Back With Amazon This Holiday Season

This post is sponsored by Amazon, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

If there’s anything that 2020 has taught me, it’s to slow down, be GRATEFUL for everything, even the simplest of things, and give back as often and as much as possible. In the past I’ve done weekly giveaways for my online community and I’ve partnered with brands to pull together giveaways whether they’re trips, product, etc.

But in 2020, I’ve really tried to go beyond that by donating to charities that I feel connected to, as well as fulfilling AmazonSmile Charity Lists and filling teacher’s lists on Amazon. For me, the roadblock to giving back was always “How do I choose where to donate to?” and with so many options out there, I would feel overwhelmed. Once I discovered AmazonSmile Charity Lists, it became much easier for my family and I to pay it forward.

Pick Your Charity:

AmazonSmile Charity Lists make it easy for you to select an organization that’s close to your heart and then directly donate the items that they need. smile.amazon.com/charitylists, you can start by choosing the category you feel passionately about donating to – whether that be Pets & Animals, Arts & Culture, Education & Youth, Environment, Health, etc. Once you narrow it down, you can then scroll through tons and tons of charities that are related to the cause you’re passionate about. Two things I’m passionate about are children’s education and anything health related, whether it be cancer research, breast cancer research, autism research etc. Knowing that, I selected both Health and Education & Youth and browsed through some charities that sounded interesting, and ultimately decided that this holiday season I’ll be donating to Miracle Babies. Miracle Babies aims to unite families with their sick newborns through financial assistance, and supportive services, so if a baby is in the NICU, they provide transportation services to the parents, care bags filled with essentials, and so much more. I never had any NICU babies, but I have loved ones who have, so I felt compelled to assist those newly postpartum moms during this holiday season. I’m so excited to share that I partnered with Amazon to donate items of need directly to Miracles Babies through their AmazonSmile Charity List. I love knowing exactly what their needs are, and being able to send their needs directly to their address.

But Amazon offers other ways to give back, too! You can even give back at no extra cost to you, just by shopping through AmazonSmile. Simply start your holiday shopping at smile.amazon.com/holiday. Here, you can browse a wide selection of holiday gift guides, deals and low prices, and Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price of eligible products to an organization of your choice every time you shop!

Interested in simply making a monetary donation? Amazon makes that easy as well. All you have to do is say, “Alexa, I want to make a donation” to an Alexa-enabled device – it couldn’t be easier to help those in need.

I’m so proud to be partnering with Amazon, who is once again Delivering Smiles this holiday season, fulfilling hundreds of AmazonSmile Charity Lists in the US and donating essential items to more than a thousand nonprofit organizations worldwide – specifically those who have been hit hardest in 2020 and are focused on addressing homelessness and hunger. The holiday season really is the perfect time to give back – if you are able to give back, make sure to share with #DeliveringSmiles!
