How I Create My Shopping Collages (It’s Easy + Free!)

If you’ve been around here for a while, you’ve probably noticed that I share “shopping collages” on most weeks. I love rounding up my favorite fashion finds from around the web, and I love seeing you all shop off of my faves! For full transparency, there was a point where I would sit and create all of the collages, but now our system looks a bit different – I will send links to items that I love each week to Sea, and she will create the collages. She and I both love to use PicMonkey to make the process easier on ourselves! I think it may seem like there’s a collage auto-populator that all bloggers use to create these collages, but the truth is that they’re time consuming to create. We have to save out all of the product images and remove all of their backgrounds individually before we can add them onto a solid white background.

Luckily, PicMonkey has an incredible tool that removes the background of an image with just the click of a button! It is sooo ridiculously easy, and before we used PicMonkey it would take us at least ten minutes per image for the same result. It’s also just such a user-friendly site, and we love how creating the collages has become such a no-brainer. Because of this tool, we’re now able to create even more collages each week, with some being specifically to use in my Liketoknow.it feed to share sales!

Here’s a step by step on how we get the final look. First we find images of pieces we love, and we add them into PicMonkey one by one, and remove their backgrounds.

You can test out the background remove tool + tons of other amazing templates with a FREE month trial! I definitely recommend testing it out!

Eventually the collage looks like this – a ton of images without a background, all on a white backdrop!

The last step is to add in the numbers! PicMonkey has shapes to use as bubbles in a layer below the number, and tons of fonts to choose from!
