My Halloween Living Room Decor

Here it is! My SPOOKY Halloween living room! Yes, I realize I am doing the most this year by transitioning from Fall to Halloween, but honestly by swapping out just a few things, it feels more like a “Halloween” space. The reason I didn’t link any of the pieces I added is because they’re all from Homegoods, so you just have to head into the store to pick any of them up!

Tips for going from Fall to Halloween mode:

  1. Change your color scheme: When decorating for the Fall, most of my decor is orange, yellow and red. When I move on to Halloween decor, I pull the red and yellow pieces, and add back in black and white pieces to make the room feel a bit more contrast-y and spooky!
  2. Add some SPOOK! By that I mean add some ghosts, skeletons, lights, and things that you’d associate with Halloween. I know Halloween decor can border on tacky, but you can carefully curate the pieces you pick, and add them in! For example, the “I Put A Spell On You” sign below my television is so cute, but is a very Halloween-focused piece that wouldn’t work as a Fall decor piece.
  3. Hang a banner: Nothing screams Halloween decor more than a “Happy Halloween” sign! Adding a banner sort of ties the entire space together, and helps people know that this is a Halloween themed space!

Maybe these tips are basic, I can’t tell to be honest, but I wanted to put these photos on the blog and share the space before it transitions to holiday decor in November!! I’ll be adding them to my pinterest as well!
