Guest Bathroom Reveal + Links To Decor!

I’m so excited to finally share the FIRST REVEAL of many to come – our hallway guest bathroom! It’s actually more like Hudson’s bathroom since we added a third bathroom upstairs into our guest bedroom, but to me it’ll always be known as “the green bathroom.” Here’s what the bathroom looked like when we bought the house two years ago – very green. I actually loved how vintage the bathroom was, the green tile made me so happy and I loved the floor tiles. Our plan was to keep this bathroom as-is, but as the demo starting happening during our renovation, because we were removing the sheetrock on the walls around the bathroom the tiles started to fall, since the grout was from the 1950’s. It was pretty clear it was going to have to be torn out as well, so alas I said goodbye to my beloved vintage tiles. Once we started with a clean slate, it did feel like the right move to make though, since this will be the bathroom that Hudson grows up using, and we also hated the door attached to the bathtub, it made bathing Hudson somewhat difficult.

I wanted this bathroom to be extremely modern, but also very neutral since I’m guessing it will go through lots of decor changes through the years. Matt has always loved herringbone tile, so we decided to go for it in here! We used this 4 x 16 inch subway tile for the Herringbone pattern, and paired it with a black hexagon floor tile for contrast. We ended up using the vanity we had in place before our renovation, this white one! I added in pops of color with the curtain and the rug, and I love how the burnt orange color looks against the black and white! Here’s tons more photos of the space, and I’ll make sure to link everything pictured below!
