When Matt thrifted the shirt he has on a few years back and told me that tie dye is coming back into style, I rolled my eyes and told him I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing it. It seemed obnoxiously loud to me, and not something I was into. But, here we are a few years later, and suddenly I don’t think it’s so bad. Granted, some tie dye can go VERY WRONG, if it’s too bright, or has a cheap look to it, but I think it’s quite lovely in the spring, and I am especially drawn to pastel colored tie dyes (as you can tell from the collage, haha!) I picked up a few of these pieces, and the rest I just thought were cute, and that I would share with all of you!
A few ways I would style tie dye include with high-waisted jeans or shorts that are a lighter wash. It really compliments that spring/ hippie vibe that tie dye has going on. I also really enjoy pairing tie dye with a pastel skirt or bottom, so the look has a monochromatic vibe to it. Tie dye also always works with white, since it’s such a warm weather color, and can act as a neutral! I hope this inspired to you jump on the tie dye trend too, and happy shopping!
