Back when I started this blog in 2012, it was more of a diary of sorts than a place to come for advice, tips or shopping help. As the years progressed, I moved away from that direction, because I felt like blogging my days or the mundane parts of my life could get boring. It also became A LOT to edit for instagram, edit videos for Youtube, post on stories AND to edit professional photos for the blog, but lately I’ve been feeling this tie back toward posting really small moments that we shoot on our DSLR camera. I absolutely love photography, and while instagram photos that perform best are generally shot in-the-moment on my iphone, I still have a special place in my heart for beautiful images that capture a specific day, so I am going to do my best to post more of these kinds of posts at least once per week, just to share additional images that maybe don’t make the cut on my instagram feed, but that I still love!
These were shot on a snow day, when we stopped in to Selena’s Diner in Haines Falls, NY. It’s one of the oldest diners around NY, with an all original inside, and it’s one of Matt and I’s shared loves to visit old diners, and snap photos inside. He doesn’t love diner coffees (but I am not picky and will take one any time!) but we both love diner fries, and the fact that there’s tons on the menu for Hudson to eat too. I think one of my favorite parts of living on NY is just how many diners are all over the place. We have our old favorites, but if we’re out of our home town, we can always bet on finding a cool retro diner to try wherever we are!
