Last week I headed to Upstate NY, South Cairo to be exact, to stay in the most adorable tiny home at A Tiny House Resort. Noelle graciously arranged the entire trip (and impressively made an itinerary too! she was ON IT) and a group of us all headed up there, with Hudson too! I knew I would love this trip, because the Fall foliage was just beautiful, but the tiny home resort actually blew me away. I was planning my return basically on the drive home, so I figured I would share extra photos and some of the fun things we did during our stay so you all can head up there too! It was SO kid friendly, and there were goats on the property that Hudson was so excited to say hi to every morning. At night the resort has a bonfire, and one night we even made our own pizza and cooked it in their brick oven! Hudson had so much fun patting out the dough and helping me add toppings!
What We Did:
Pumpkin & Apple Picking At Boehm Farms
This cute and quiet little spot had a little pumpkin patch, wagons to pull apples or Hudson, and a ton of great apple picking! We kicked the trip off here, and Hudson was having a blast helping me pick apples. It was actually his second time, but he doesn’t remember the first time because he was only 1!
On our second day, Noelle brought us to this adorable inn, and the manager gave us a tour. It’s so cozy inside! Then we all hiked to the top of the mountain on the property for a picnic. We were snapping photos when a giant storm began to roll in, and we ran up the mountain to a little wooden hut, and there was a fire pit at the top. It was a pretty intense hike with a toddler, and if you attempt it, I’d suggest a toddler backpack to carry your child. Hudson insisted on walking most of the way up, which gave me MAJOR mom anxiety, but I was so proud of him when he made it to the top! It really is a gorgeous spot.
Dinner at Crystal Brook Mountain Brauhaus
On our final night, we all ate here for dinner. It’s so fun and over the top inside, and the food was delicious! They have a full bar, but also had high chairs which I can always appreciate!
I hope you liked this guide, and if you’ve been itching to stay in a tiny home, these are AMAZING. We will definitely be returning for a cozy weekend during the Winter!
