What you’ll need:
Bobby pins
Hair tie
Optional Dry Shampoo
1 – First I brush out my hair, and if it feels extremely soft I will add in some dry shampoo or tease it a bit for extra volume!
2 – Grab all of your hair, as if you’re putting it up into a high ponytail on top of your head!
3 – Wrap the hair tie around 2 times, and on the third time, do not pull your hair all the way through, leaving a loop of hair that you will fan out in the next step!
4 – Fan out your hair to both sides, pulling the hair to the size of bun you desire.
5 – Use your bobby pins as needed, to pin the bun in place. I usually pin on either side of the bun, and then two in the front hidden to keep it secure.
6, 7 & 8 – The back of the bun looks super silly with the hair sticking through the hair tie! What I do, is pull that hair back through the hair tie, so it is secure and in place. It gives it a sort of messy and imperfect look that I like. So many of you always ask what the back of this hairstyle looks like, so here’s a few photos!
9 – Voila! done!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, since it is one of my most requested things on instagram!
