My Dad Answers Your Questions About Being A Blogger Dad!

It seems you all love my dad – and I do too! He’s a goofball, he’s fashionable and he’s one of the most important people in my life, so I am excited you’ve been loving seeing him on my stories in his outfits. His father (my grandpa David who Hudson David was named after) was a tailor, and owned a clothing store in midtown in the 1960’s, so fashion is in my dad’s blood! He has always had more hats and shoes than most men I know, and now he has the verrrry exciting duty of being a ‘blogger dad.” It was so funny seeing all of your questions for him come in, and here’s answers!

How was Steffy like when she was little?

Stefanie was very creative as a child, and loved to do her own thing. She always liked to boss her younger brothers around. She used to have tantrums when she wouldn’t have her way and we would laugh at her haha

How many photos of your daughter have you taken so far?

I am the stand-in photographer for when her mom doesn’t take the photos, so probably no more than 20.

What did you think when your daughter told you about her blog? My dad is still puzzled.

I always believe that people have to do what they want to do, and it was a natural thing for Steffy since she was always a great writer and kept journals when she was younger. I thought the thrifting was weird.

Where do you think Steffy got her amazing fashion sense? How did you influence it?

I think Steffy got her sense from my dad, who was a clothing store owner and tailor, she also got some of her quirkiness from her grandmother on her mother’s side. My influence on steffy was taking her to the hat stores in Greenwich village, which led her to be a hat connoisseur.

Who do you think is more stylish: you or Steffy?

As stylish as I consider myself, I believe steffy is more stylish than me. But in spite of that, I will gladly continue to win all of her stories competitions because people are trying to be nice to me, or they are trolling steffy.

Do you worry about your daughters blogger job stability?

I never worry about my daughters job stability whether she was a blogger or doing something else because Stefanie has an innate ability to be flexible and move with the times.

Do you love mustard yellow as much as Steffy?

No, I am a grey fanatic because it matches my old grey hair.

What college did you go to?

I went to NYU and majored in biology with a minor in Spanish

What brand would you love to partner with for a post?

I love Robert Graham shirts, so that would be my pick, although the shirts haven’t been as good lately.

Did you ever expect Steffy’s passion to turn into what it has become? Why or why not?

I couldn’t necesarilly have expected it at first because I didn’t understand the world of blogging, however once I started to see what Steffy was doing I fully believed in her.

How did you react to Steffy quitting her job to blog full time?

I was fully in favor of it because I knew Steffy was on a successful path, and I was enthusiastic that she was able to spend more time with Hudson

Has Steffy always had a unique fashion sense?

Yes, even as a first grader she was the only girl who wouldn’t wear pants and only dresses.

What did you think she would be when she grew up?

I thought she would be a photographer, because she studied it in high school and minored in it in college.

What’s the best part of being a grandpa?

The best part of being a grandpa is seeing the smile on Hudson’s face first thing in the morning, and the unconditional love that he has, especially when ice cream is involved.

What’s a favorite memory you share with Steffy from when she was a kid?

When Steffy was in the dugout when I was coaching baseball, and would yell things even though she didn’t know what the heck was going on. She also would make her brothers dress up and steal their toys. I also liked teaching her to drive stick, even though she never got the hang of it.

What adventures do we expect to see in the future with blogger dad?

I can only hope for an expense-free trip to Europe, preferably Paris or Prague haha.

I hope you enjoyed a little peek into my dad’s brain!
