My Favorite Toys For Flying With A Toddler

In the past I’ve talked about tips for flying with a toddler and tips for flying with a baby, but I’ve never posted specifically about which toys I am packing for our journey, and I think that the things I’ve chosen to bring on the flight are a HUGE determinator in the success of the flight and how well Hudson behaves. When I wrote my last post on flying with a toddler, Hudson was a few months younger, so my recent flight to California had a lot of differences – the main one being in Hudson’s attention span. He is now able to sit and watch a tv show for longer, or play with a toy that is entertaining, like a sticker book. This makes flying a lot easier on me, IF I come prepared! Here’s what I packed in my bag for toys!

1 – Cheese Lacing Toy – There is something about getting the string through the holes that Hudson is captivated by, and this tiny travel toy is very entertaining for toddlers! I love how easy it is to toss in my bag, and he never full figures it out, so it keeps him interested!

2 – Buckle Busy Board – I usually bring this one to restaurants too – Hudson has been really into buckles for a while, and is just now starting to be into zippers and buttons too. I love how he has grown with this toy, and it travels very easily!

3 – Window Gel Cling Toy – I brought this one on the plane when Hudson was younger, and he just tore the gel into tiny pieces. Now that he is a bit older, he understands the use for them, and it passes a lot of time watching him pull the stickers off, and stick them onto the tray table or the window.

4 – Kindle – Once we run out of toys and food to eat, we resort to the kindle! ha! I make sure before flying to save and download all of his favorite shows, since there most likely will not be wifi. Make sure the kindle is charged too!

5 – Little Airport Sticker Book – This book has peel- and – apply stickers that are reusable, so kids can stick and re-stick them! Hudson can play with this for a while, and is so fascinated by stickers!
