Lately it feels like there is SO much going on at once. So much. But it never feels like it translates through instagram stories, because everything is always shared in small snippets, and sometimes I know from following other bloggers it can feel like they’re being secretive. Or even trying to dangle bait, so that we wait around and wonder what’s really going on (which I totally do for some of my favorite bloggers!) But, I like to be transparent in everything because I am a bad secret keeper, so here is a BIG update on all things Steffy that have been going on around here…
HOME UPDATES:
We’ve been working on finishing up THREE rooms around the house, all with different collaborations. They should all be completed within the next month…
1 – Our living room reveal is coming soon with West Elm! Most of the furniture was delivered yesterday, and now I am just finishing up some small details before shooting the room for the blog + for the West Elm blog. I’ve been sharing our home renovation journey over on their blog.
2 – I’ve been working with Raymour & Flanigan to create a coffee bar right off of our living room. It was a dead space that I’ve been ignoring for months and I am SO excited to share with you how easy it was to create soon!
3 – We are almost done with Hudson’s playroom that we’ve been working with Joybird to create. This room has taken FOREVER and I think the Before + Afters are going to blow you away. It was a bare bones attic when we moved in, and now it’s a space we spend a ton of time in. We’re just waiting for electrical work to be completed!
CAMPER
4 – We FINALLY bought the camper van we’ve been searching for!! Matt picked it up from Vermont a week or so ago! It has been in the shop getting an inspection and getting some small work done to it, and then we’re going to send it to a body shop to get rid of some rust. We’re hoping to start working on the inside in the next few weeks, and have it done in time for the spring/summer months. I cannot wait to share the process of renovating with you all. We’re going to make videos of the transformation!
BLOG UPDATE!
5 – I mentioned it on my Stories, but I have been working on something for months that I am going to officially announce in the next few weeks. Basically, 2018 is the year I wanted to give back to this incredible community, and I’ve been working on something to give back to new moms. I know how hard those first few months can be, so hopefully this makes it a teeny bit better!
FAMILY UPDATES!
6 – Hudson has been in physical therapy every other week for his walking, or lack thereof! He is not actually considered delayed as a walker, because I guess the window for kids to walk is 12-18 months, but he is delayed in standing. He JUST started to stand on his own, for a few seconds at a time, which is a huge deal for him. The PT works with him, and shows me exercises to help build his strength and balance. She thinks he will walk by Summer, so fingers crossed. I never thought my baby would not walk until a year and a half, but I guess life is unpredictable like that, and we just have to do our best to help our little ones out!
7 – Matt’s 30th birthday party is right around the corner (April 1!) We are having a little party at our house, and then we’re headed to Hawaii to celebrate!! We’ve never been to Hawaii, and appreciate any suggestions that we can get!
