This past weekend, we moved into our new home! It feels like it’s been a long time coming, since we actually closed on the home about a month or so ago, and we’ve been painting, finishing rooms and gutting bathrooms. There will be TONS more on this to come (promise!) but for today I wanted to share with you guys a few house peeks, and what I wore on moving day. Moving day is all about comfort, these Foot Petals Cushionology sneakers from Zappos were IT. They are so stinking comfortable (and cute to boot!), and they have cushions on the inside of the shoe under your feet, so it actually feels like you’re walking on air, and it adapts to fit your foot! I actually could not believe how comfortable these were (because they’re cute, and usually cute shoes are sort of uncomfortable haha!) but guys. It’s wild.
I threw my hair up into a messy bun, grabbed my favorite festive fall jeans and some stripes, and these comfy Foot Petals sneakers, and we hit the ground running. Moving always stinks no matter how you slice it, but my mom flew in to help babysit Hudson for a few days so we could really get things done, and get the house together, which was a total lifesaver. It’s really hard to get things done with a baby! We were moving from the 1st floor of a building into this home, so the moving out part was way more complicated. We opted to move mostly everything ourselves to save a bit of money, and hired a local guy to help Matt move the big things, like couches, tables, etc. We usually move this way, because movers are EXPENSIVE and they usually require a 4 hour minimum, which I totally understand on their end, but we just don’t have that much stuff.
I am sore, and soaking in these new house + autumn vibes! More to come soon!
